If only...

I had known my FZ1000 as well in December 2015 as I do in April 2018. I would have had brilliant Humming Bird shots, stills taken from video. I'm more or less happy(ish) with this female Ruby Throated Hummer taken about an hour before I left for my long journey home.

Fabulous capture of this beautiful hummingbird! On my bucket list is to get a shot like this one of a hummer feeding at a flower . . . I've only captured them at my feeders. Fav! :-)

@bigmxx Thanks, MIchelle. We don't have Humming BIRD but we do have Humming Bird Hawk Moth in the summer, a migrant from continental Europe. He flies & feeds in the same rapid way, hovering with his long proboscis deep in the flower. Look out for him at Buddleia, Verbena Bonariensis and other tubular flowers during the day, May to September.
