My salvation by jesika2

My salvation

On these tiny shoulders rests my future. 7 significant deaths in 15 months, the 7th last week on Mothers's Day, have left my life empty and without purpose. Fortunately the breeder of my Girlies had that rare creature, a rescue Silky. I went to meet her today and Tilly has agreed to take me on a 15 year trial.
Girlies were born July 14th 2002. Tilly the same date in 2017!
She's cute, tiny, much smaller than any of the other 5 Silkys, with the usual wonderful personality.
Together we shall live long and prosper. Well she will, I'll be penniless - but happy.

@oldjosh She's sitting here with me, not really enough room for 2, but I'll make myself smaller...
She's a little doll. I couldn't live with any other breed now. His Lordship was a Chihuahua but I'm not brave enough to take on another.
Thank you, my life has purpose again.

@pej She's a very friendly little girl, to me at least. I think she likes me enough to keep me! She's already met some of the local doggies, most of them rescues too. Wary of people, but OK with the dogs.
Thank you, Paul.

@milaniet Her first night away from a house full of dogs will be difficult I suppose, but we'll learn to adapt together. The breeder/rescuer thinks she'll enjoy being an only child.
Thanks, Milanie

@fbailey We have a couple of issues to overcome - 6.30 am is NOT my best time! She's terrified of men, afraid of bigger dogs who run towards her I now know, is comfortable in her own home but doesn''t want to visit next door. She's firmly attached to her new mummy and can walk for miles...
I'M the lucky one, I have purpose in my life again.

@julienne1 I think, Julienne, it's a mutual rescue. She loves mummy and auntie next door and today for the first time sat on uncle's knee. He acts the big tough guy but was actually very moved by her finally accepting him and allowing him to play with her.
