The last time...

We said goodbye that day, not knowing we would never meet again.
RIP my beautiful Friend, Sister, Twin.

This brings tears to my eyes...they're coursing down my face. I lost my younger last year, he wasn't expected to live the day when he was born. It's tough, very tough to lose a sibling. Please accept a heartfelt hug

@s4sayer @koalagardens @rontu An ocean and 17 days apart at birth, our mothers 8 days. But the bond was instant and strong. Despite years of separation each time we met we just picked up where we left off. You don't need blood to be family.
Thank you, ladies.

What a wonderful photo of the two of you together. Those special friendships such a treasure that you'll never lose.

I've lost both parents and a nephew, but not a sibling or friend who is like a sibling, so I cannot relate deeply, but loss is still loss. But this is why "this" cannot be all there is…

Beautiful memory to have

@bkbinthecity My Twin was and still is, very precious. It took us 24 years to meet and almost 50 years to be family.

@gilbertwood Thank you. We knew she was ill, but we thought we had many more years together with her being the bossy "Big sister"

@milaniet The young man who took the photo couldn't understand how we could be twins...a huge hole remains.

@rhoing Twin's was one of 8 significant deaths in 16 months which have left me struggling at times to comprehend the effect of so much loss. It's hard, but I remember the fun we had and the joy everytime one of us managed to cross oceans to meet again. Thank you, Thom j

You look so happy together in this photo. One of, I'm sure, many similarly happy moments. Hold on to them to help keep the pain of loss bearable.

@julienne1 I wear a "memory bracelet" - 6 dogs, a Twin, and soon on the anniversary will add a bead for my husband - they are always with me.
