To my astonishment yet another Mrs Brimstone laid eggs on my tiny Alder Buckthorn today. I only saw her briefly but she rested for a long while after her labours which suggests she had been busy for quite some time while I was out on walkies.
Look carefully and you'll see 5 eggs on the leaf above to the left and another which has changed colour, just abve her leg on the body of the leaf which she is using to lay her own eggs.
I need a cunning plan for all the potential hungry caterpillars I'll have soon.

@merrelyn if you don't see Brimstones land, they are very difficult to find, as their wings, always together, closely resemble leaves, especially the lighter female. But the very yellow male can also hide in plain sight.
