Happy birthday, darling Boy

On this date, 28 Aug 1969, my Treasure, Cockles was born.
The vet, Dr Foster, didn't expect him to reach his first birthday because of kennel cough, but he defied all the odds and was almost 16 when he finally left us.
He was dog number 2, Australian Silkie Terrier number 1 and was the start of our love of this breed.

@susiemc thanks, he had his moments. A massive intestinal bleed and a cardiac arrest on walkies. Only time I ever did CPR on a dog! Brave and beautiful boy. For reasons I don’t understand I can’t listen to John Denver’s “Annie’s song” because it’s in some weird way associated with Cockles.
