Mrs Vapourer

Excitement in the nursery as the first Vapourer moth eclosed this morning.
If you look carefully you will see the masses of eggs inside her abdomen.
She has only vestigal wings and cannot feed. Her life will be less than a week and her only job is to go forth and multiply.
Her story will be told over the next few days.
