Through the Bridge and Into the Sunrise

I went out last eve for sunset shots but despite finally having a visible sun to set, it was less than magnificent. So this is another one from yesterday morning. I am really grateful for all the comments and fave on yesterday's photo and also want to put it out there that I would ALWAYS love suggestions. I am still such a beginner
Nice composition. I like the natural framing.

Beautiful purple tones and patterns. Nice framing too.

Lovely tones and those spiky things really add to it. If you want to play around I think if you use Picnik (www.picnik.com) you could play around with shadows/highlights or some of the effects and really bring out the depth of the colour.

@judithg thanks Judith. I have phtoshop but am still really struggling to figure something as basic as that out. The color was so much better in person than the photo shows

@jgpittenger Picnik is much easier than Photoshop!

Jane, I love the way you used openning to frame the water. Photoshop is a bit of a bear. I have found a person who gives tutorials and am hoping to start soon. I think I would love to see what would happen with greater saturation. I still use aperture for my editing, because it is easier to navigate.

I like the way you framed this. Tell me, are those old pylons from a pier?
Very interesting area...
