Mother's Day

I didn't get a chance to post yesterday but I had a wonderful time watching an "acorn?" woodpecker family. If you enlarge you can seethe baby in the hole and dad on the side of the tree with his beak full of food for the baby. You can see the baby in my flowers album for today

Oh wow - are those grubs he's got? And woodpeckers actually living in pecked out holes - I'm not sure ours do that - I think they drum to attract a mate (but I may be wrong).
