Heron Territory Ballet

I went out to shoot eagles and salmon with my mentor...both were disappointing. Instead we found these two herons doing an amazing dance. What awesome birds.

I was thinking of going, why the disappointment? There should be tons of dead salmon for the Eagles. (Too early?)

@cameronknowlton lots of dead salmon and one eagle that I caught sitting in a tree from a big distance. but I was hoping for an in flight shot

@fueast It was really fun to watch and shoot but it's not mating season. I think it was a territorial dispute. But of course herons have to do that with grace too!
