Help Mom, I'm Scared

We went searching for eagles- which we found and you will see in the days ahead but I can't choose between them yet- who tend to hang out in the sheep pastures during lambing season to clean up the placentas, and found this just born sweetie. He was scared when I went to photograph him and went running for mom. It's been rainy so yu can see they are both pretty muddy!
Thanks so much for all the recent visits, comments, favs. They mean so much.
Great capture of this lamb and the newborn.

Nice capture Jane, they are always so funny in the first minute or two on their feet, all wobbles, and then suddenly they're off.

@meisen325 Hmm...their ears look a bit narrower and sharper...maybe this is a US variant?
February 5th, 2013
Aww, what a sweet capture. Mum's not too happy with you though, lol.
February 5th, 2013
@jgpittenger Yes, I noticed the difference in the ears. This could also be a Shropshire. The baby looks most like the photos of Shrops I've seen on the web. Are you in NZ?
