This is where I swim most every day until it gets unbearably cold. As I drove home from downtown early yesterday morning, I saw the Eastern sky turn red. There was nowhere to get a decent shot so I decided to take a quick right and go see if the sky was still so beautiful when I got to the lake. Later in the day I went back for my swim and realized it is really too cold for me now without my full body wet suit, so today I will pull it on before I go.
Thanks so much for your visits, comments, critiques, favs
I'm very impressed on lots of levels. First, gorgeous scene. Second, swimming in a lake where there is no blue line to help you keep straight (you can tell where I grew up swimming). Third...swimming where you'd need a wet suit to make it work. VERY impressive! Now am worried about keeping up in our meet up!!
This is such an ideal spot - as Taffy said, there is so much going for it. Wonderful choice to grab the shot and love the idea that this is a spot where you spend a lot of time - it must be great to be able to relax in water like this - how wise you are to continue to take advantage of it. Can't be a better stress reliever anywhere.
Such a beautiful capture with that lovely red glow! Wow so impressed that you swim in this lake every day! I am not a strong swimmer and really nervous out of my depth so there is no way I would swim in a lake! I envy you as I know it must be wonderful!
What a peaceful place...I agree with Rachel....I usually find lakes way to cold to swim in, but it should be bearable with a wetsuit on.....at least you don't have to worry about shark attacks like we do!
