We've had high surf warnings most of this last week and last night a friend offered to drive me to a spot where I could stand next to her truck to photograph them. Cheered me up a lot even though my perspective was limited and I didn't want to make the effort to shoot with different lenses.

Nice froth blowing off the top. I like that the shutter speed was fast enough to pretty much freeze the wave, but still slow enough to allow that wind blow off the top to be smeared a bit. The back lighting is the icing.
Beautiful lighting on that foam spray Jane. Good to see that you were able to get out with your camera, it must be so frustrating for you to be tied down so badly.
