I took this on our South Jetty hike yesterday and this little bird wasn't singing and was so far away that I couldn't tell what it was until I got it on my computer and cropped it way in. I was really happy to see my first meadowlark of the year. Usually I recognize them by their song but I guess it is still too early for singing.
So sorry to be behind in commenting but we've had a bunch of glitches here with dead car battery, heat pump dying, and more internet problems. I will get to it as I can. Thanks for your visits, comments, suggestions, favs
I know exactly what you mean. I usually just see a dark form against the bright sky and wait to get home and pray I can identify it, once up on the monitor. And those shots are always challenging because of the difficulty in exposure. As always, you've done a wonderful job. And I appreciate your descriptive narrative very much. Though I commiserate with your recent life hurdles.
