This time of year the sun sets through our trees rather than over the ocean. It was a fabulous sunset but I was worn out so I didn't go some place that i could have gotten a better shot. The butternut trees are ones we planted years ago in memory of the abundant trees of my childhood and how I loved cracking them with my dad- long gone. Unfortunately the nuts aren't eatable in the Oregon tree.I'm a bit disappointed in the edit. The sunset was more glorious than the edit shows. Any suggestions? Shot raw.
