A few years ago, the Forest Service changed the entry point to our favorite backpacking spot making the trip an extra 2 miles each way- a significant difference for the two of us pushing 70 yo. We'd talked for years about hiring lamas to help us when we got too old to carry heavy packs but instead decided to enlist the aid of some boy scouts in the area. They have helped us out for the last couple of years getting some additional miles for their hiknig badges and a donation towards camp fees. Here they are arriving after having gotten a bit lost. The dogs clearly are just hitting their stride. We were glad for the arrival of our food and tent and had been a bit worried because they were going to leave about an hour after us and we had thought they would pass us on the trail.!
Sorry for the mass upload today and for how far behind I am in comments. Eventually I will catch up!
