Back Splash at Kealekekua Bay

I missed the really big one, but I felt like this caught the idea. Often in the bay where we sit having coffee and looking to see if the dolphins have come in the bay to go swim with, there is a big movement of the waves towards the shore (to the right here) and then an area where the ocean seems to move backward. This morning where the forward and backward collided was a big splash.
Beautiful

This is great. It's the sort of thing that people don't get to see often

Ah yes... I can picture you sitting there, feet up, relaxing, trying to decide if it is worth the effort to put down the coffee and pick up the the camera. Nice shot of another cool natural event.

I've never seen a splash that big when the waves and the reflected waves collide. That's really neat. The water is a beautiful blue! So sad that you're leaving soon.
