We have a 1/2 mile long driveway and at this corner, there is about a 100 ft waterfall when it is raining. We've been watching this huge rock that came about 1/2 way down the hill years ago when we had steady torrential rains for days and a previous wash out wondering when it would come down. Last night was the time! Luckily Jim came home 3 hours early from work so he wasn't trapped outside it since the mud slide is about 3-4 ft deep. Thankfully we have a neighbor who has a much bigger tractor than ours so when it was clear our little Kuboda wasn't up to the task, we called our neighbor and said "help"!
I was SO excited to see my bubbles and smoke shot made it to the TT this morning. It made my day. Thanks as always for your visits, comments, suggestions, favs
This looks like a real mess to have to fix and clean up. I think you guys could use a little dry weather for awhile. How do you get out of your driveway with it like this? Great capture of the work in progress..
Too many bears....really!! Rain will be just a minor detail then Jane! This actually could have been a lot worse. On you own on the wrong side of the rock. Your neighbours with a decent strong tractor to kindly help so thank goodness you are resourceful. Interesting to see your area. We find long drives very costly, we were always filling holes in when we lived at the last farm....half a mile is a long track. Ant & Jo have a long expensive road too in NZ.
Sure see the messy situation well in this shot - for assessing damage and problems this does the trick, but I sure do love your water color version! You may be sloshing in mud for a while!
