Pearl with Bone

I haven't managed to get out much with my camera since we got home but wanted to document how much Pearl has grown. When I took her to the vet on Monday for her shot, the vet said she thought she might well grow to 80 lbs!!! I was aghast. Cayenne was just over 50 at her heaviest. I emailed the woman we got Pearl from to ask re the weight of her mom and day...mom is 70 and day 85lbs. Oh my. She has also grown into a whole new phase...barking with her outside voice at the cats (inside), jumping up 4 feet into our greens garden and digging enthousiastically (luckily it is time for the soil to be turned but obviously some protection will be needed for the plants this year), and pestering Cayenne so much wanting to play that Cayenne decided she'd rather be outside. Lots of teaching and learning to do.
Thanks for your visits, comments, suggestions, favs

Oh my, hasn't she grown and to a beautiful looking lady as well. She looks very intelligent so I am sure she will easily pick up the does and don'ts in the household :)

So cool -- I actually recognized Pearl immediately as it scrolled. BUT WOW -- she is growing up fast!! Her face has lost some of its little puppy look. She's going to be a beautiful dog.

Oh wow, you've got a big 'un there Jane. But so long as she's healthy and happy and obedient all will be well. Maybe try some citronella-soaked rags on the veggie garden fence?? Dogs hate citronella, but unlike some other things, it's not toxic (unless you drank it).
