For the 50 mm SOOC challenge. Jim and I have been married for 53 years, had 5 children, 6 grandchildren, and a myriad of dogs and cats. We've never let a dog on our sofa before, but... here is Black Pearl not only on our sofa but on the fanciest sofa we've ever had! LOL! We keep getting softer as we age I guess. FYI we've almost always lived on a farm with lots of mud, manure etc. We aren't really naturally hard hearted.

Yep, she knows she's in trouble now, but she knows too that you'll let her stay there 'just this once'. She is just so gorgeous no way could I resist those eyes. Maggie has 3 inside beds and the run of the house but 'four on the floor' is strictly policed. We're just big blue meanies, I guess.
Haha! Yep, looks like the score is Black Pearl 1, People zero!! We know the story well Our dogs have always been couch sitters, and they also let us share their king size bed at night! Guess who runs this house!! LOL.
@jgpittenger No way have we got kids at home, perish the thought. My 'baby' is 46 and lives about 450Km away, and the other one 49 and about 200Km away. Les's three are much the same ages but two of them live closer. We're both in our 70s, me 75, she 71. The stance on Maggie is purely practical, she's a big heavy dog and we wouldn't mind sharing space, but think she'd take over our small couch in fairly short order. Plus, we have leather furniture and she has very hard claws.
