Wings Beating So Fast 1-2000 sec Isn't Fast Enough

I couldn't believe that the 1/2000th of a second shutter speed wasn't fast enough to freeze the wing movement. He was in the shade so higher ISO would have made it pretty unusable. I do like the detail on his yellow fur and the proboscus aiming towards the wild geranium.
Thanks for your visits, comments, suggestions, favs and for taking my tail feather spread hummer to the TP and PP
They beat crazily fast, don't they? What fun to try, well done.

I am glad you weren't able to freeze the wing movement it looks so much nicer with the sense of movement.

It's even better against black!

Still a great capture. That's really surprising that 1/2000th wouldn't stop the wings.
