Best on black. I just finished purging my 2017 photos from my hard drive and got to remember the amazing night we spent photographing the volcano as lava poured into the ocean. This was taken just before dawn after shooting from 2 AM on. The tour boats were just arriving. A couple weeks later the shelf the tiny figure is standing on top right collapsed into the lava and soon after sparks set the roof of a metal tour boat on fire (the same one we had ridden in the day before I took this shot.) The power of nature is not to be taken lightly!
