We Have Tree Swallows in Our Box

You'll have to view big to see these tiny birds, but I had to share it. Jim made this bird house last winter and we were keeping our fingers crossed that some tree swallows would take up residence. And they have!!! We think there are babies inside already but they are too small to be seen yet. More to follow in the days ahead.

What a story! We put up on the apricot tree a ball of bird food and get so excited when one or to birds do us the courtesy of picking on it. Imagine having them as “residents”! Fav

Oh this is lovely and exciting! I received a bird house last summer for my birthday hoping to attract tree swallows, nothing but young chipmunks go in the holes. How big did your husband make the hole?
I am planning on posting my birdhouse tomorrow!

@radiogirl he says he drilled a hole and then used jig saw to cut the circle. Do you want him to tell you the diameter it should be?
