Bird's eye view

This is taken standing at the bird feeder. When I saw the window the other morning I was reminded of the window in one of A C Hillard's pictures. Just wanted to give it a try. Decided to add the tag for the weekly theme.
Nice shot. I love the reflection of the tree in the window!

Great scene. I like the colour of your house.

Interesting...the reflections on the window and the light make this look really intriguing. Separating out the reflections from interior and exterior, and then taking in the whole composition was fun to do. Like the composition too.

Awww I love this. And I love photos that are looking in or looking out. Lovely frame from you image. Looks so warm and inviting.

Interesting shot, nice reflection.

Would make a good theme called Looking In. Great capture.

Great photo Joan. The reflections are there but don't mess up the main subject as sometimes happens. You have framed the shot beautifully.

@taffy Do you ever need someone else to point out why you like it"? You just expressed it for me so well.

I love this. Sort of a Harriet the Spy kind of shot. I just love the glimpse into someone's ordinary life (I liked this is Hilliard's work a lot too). the yellow of the lighting inside goes really well with the pale blue of the house. fav.

@francoise I tried to get the house to the green that it is but I think this is shadow and early morning light.

This is my favourite type of window (I used to be a locksmith so I have seen lots of them). The reflection of the tree, and the lighting inside make for an interesting shot.

Nice shot. I like the arrangement of objects and shapes, the window, the reflection of tree, the interior view :)

Just the thing I like to do - look in windows! Oh... :-( .... That sounds so bad. Wait, I'm sure everyone loves to do this - walk around at night and just peek, FROM THE STREET, and see how this house is decorated, how that house looks, and so on. I CANNOT be the only one like this!??
Anyway, your window would be one I would peer into, FROM THE STREET, and I would wonder what you were doing with those things on the counter. It's not nosiness...it's interest! That's what I tell Dave as he pulls me away. ;-)
I like your window.

@sharleen Oh, I so look when I drive by. You leave your curtains open I think you give me permission. LOL Those things on the counter are partly my creamers and mostly things I just haven't gotten around to putting away. Did you see my office?
July 31st, 2014
Yes, I believe I saw your office (it was a bit messy but maybe that was due to the fact that it was at the time there was work going on.) I believe I commented that i, like you, am organized in my disorganization. Am I correct?
Heh heh - you mention curtains.... I have no curtains, no shades on any windows in my home because I feel claustrophobic. And I see so many walk by and actually stop as they try to get a better look.

@sharleen I like to think so. The worse thing I can do is put everything away - out of sight out of mind. I have curtains everywhere. Maybe because I am a voyeur I worry about being spied on. LOL
