New visitor by joansmor

New visitor

Thursday night we had a couple of visitors to the bird feeder. The sun was setting (I have brightened things here) and I had my old lens and no tripod set up. But not a horrible job - hope you agree. This little guy was too busy filling up to be bother by us taking pictures and later we had another chickadee. Still trying to get caught up but today we dashed up to LL Bean and tomorrow hoping to hit Pemaquid light. Thanks for all the support.
Great capture!

I'd say you got this about right Joan - a little catchlight in the bird's eye would have made it perfect.

@vignouse Only shadows. So no chance for that. Almost sunset. But I said to Hazel someone would mention that. Maybe I should have added one.

You got yourself a little woody. I can't really tell which one it is but it is definitely a woodpecker.

If he's coming to your feeder it's time to put out some suet.

@janiskay I'll look into that

@joansmor That's what i had in mind Joan - just a tiny white speck towards the direction of the prevailing light.

@vignouse Sometimes I don't think fast enough. Thanks keep it in mind for future use and lesson learned.

@joansmor A lot of birds will eat it the winter if you're still getting warm weather might want to keep an eye on that it doesn't go rancid. I think the pepper one squirrels won't touch.
