What's a girl supposed to do!

Subtitle: Maine the way life should be.
Okay I need your help. See my mentor is picking on me he wants me to take better pictures. Mentors are like that, better, better, better. Learn, Learn, Learn. But see I really prefer taking outdoor pictures and this is what it looks like in my world right now. This is looking down my hill (the view I see when I return from work). These banks are on every street, every highway, in every town. I'm a little old lady, I can't climb these banks to take pictures (I know because I already fell down one w/o camera). You can't pull a car over and if you could well there are these banks. SO it's bird pictures and cat pictures. Oh bother. So here is the favor. Visit @vignouse and just gentle suggest that he be kinder to an old lady (am I laying it on too thick). Oh and if you want to give him a fav couldn't say that I blame you. But be patient spring is coming (isn't it). By the way it is snowing again.
Hilarious!! What a huge pile of snow. I think you should get some Legos and play with me and Molly!!

If I didn't know better, I might think you were sick of the snow.

@francoise Why would you say that??

LOL - A great capture and write up!

forgot to mention that I like the orangey pink light at the end of the street.

What's with the 'old lady' schtick? Trying to drum up sympathy votes, I suppose! Given that your mentor is 3 years older than you are, I don't think this particular ploy has legs enough to get to the corner of the first block - see I'm being kind and using americanisms. You have the perfect opportunity to practise and perfect a very noble branch of photography - photo-reportage... but what do you do instead? Whinge is what. Mind you, suggesting that everyone pops over to my project to give me lots of Favs is one of your better ideas!

OK, silliness over: I can't imagine having to deal with this on a daily basis Joan... and goodness knows what problems there will be when the thaw comes. Try to keep cheerful and make the most of the birdies and whatever else you can photograph without venturing out!

That's quite a pile on the right. Love the golden light in the background.

Oh, that looks old and tiresome -- too much snow! Good luck with this!

Awwwww....I am sure there are crocus under all that snow!!! Nice morning light in this shot.

Looks nice to me! :) but surely spring is just around the corner.

@tande I knew you'd be the one person to love this.

@vignouse I choked on my coffee because I was laughing so hard. As for reportage photography I failed to mention it was 5F out there at 7a.m. the only time there is light. I don't take may camera to work because managing the streets on foot most days is a nightmare. And I went out Monday couldn't find a place to park and almost got hit by someone driving out of their driveway. I figured some people might just see my white hair and buy the old lady bit. LOL

It looks like there is light at the end of the road (tunnel) hang in there Joan!
It has been a long cold winter so far, spring should be around the corner! :)
