Planning and Playing

I am planning a picture out in my mind for my get pushed challenge. So I saw an opportunity to maybe get a couple of shots for my project. So I put up my little fake tree and put on the lights. Click Click. Down load process in LR. Move to Ps to remove some distractions and to add a soft focus. Now I can play with the lights for a couple of nights before I finish with my idea this weekend when I have more time. I was having trouble thinking about getting the Christmas stuff out but nothing like a picture you have in mind to motivate you. I'll take any suggestion on making the tree or lights look better.
Pretty. I spent hours decorating our tee today!

It's very festive! I think you'll need to use a lower exposure, lower ISO and then bring out shadows in LR to keep the lights from looking blown out. Worth continuing to work on.

this picture grew on me as I looked at it. didn't like it at all at first glance, but now my eyes have adjusted and it's really cool. I can only imagine the variety of pictures you could get of this exact tree with different settings and exposures and focuses. The mind boggles.
