Perkins Cove by joansmor

Perkins Cove

@farmreporter is my get-pushed partner and her challenge is choose a picture from your Favourites page, explain why you like it and then try to replicate it by putting your own special style to it. My mentor is @vignouse and his wife is @s4sayer. When I got this challenge I had just fav'd their pictures if Whitby harbor. I Margo's shot there is like a bridge area and Richard shows the buildings lining the harbor. So my picture is from a footbridge over the cove and you can see the buildings. My particular take is that this is a sunrise shot as that is "my thing" Actually this may be a moment of so before the sun rose. Their pictures are at http://365project.org/s4sayer/365/2016-10-23

@vignouse and @s4sayer I used your pictures of Whitby as inspiration for my get-pushed challenge.

The early light on some of those houses in the background is terrific. What terrific clarity on the boats in the harbor - lines are super. Like the way you composed this with the footbridge and sign.

How beautiful and calm this is! Do I see the sun hitting the windows there on the upper left? I can almost hear the sound of sleepy people stretching and getting ready to rise! You've accomplished a lot with this photo!

Well how nice that you did this: I see the resemblance but also your own style. I like this a lot but those notices are more prominent than I - and no doubt you too - would have liked.
