Giving way to neglect and the storm

I have said we had a big storm before Christmas. It has knocked over 100's of telephone poles and downed a few buildings including this old barn I pass on my way to work. I kept meaning to get a picture of it. It is better seen heading into work than coming home. And for a long time, I took another road in and didn't pass it. Thinking you have time can get you in trouble.
Poor old barn, but nice capture! Love the wood tones. They're repurposing the wood from old barns in hundreds of ways.

A beautiful capture. The sepia tones are gorgeous. These old buildings are treasures for photographers!

A lovely sky in contrast to the fallen barn. I agree it’s always worth stopping to take the shot, because you never know what will happen!

True - an old house was gradually falling down over the decades and I took some pics of it but when I went to photograph it again - it was completely gone! Someone must have removed it. This is a bit of a wreck now!

Sad but beautiful at the same time... Glad you got this photo before someone decides to totally demolish this old barn!

I love the weathered wood, and the window overgrown with weeds. A shame that it has fallen. Wonderful shot.

That is so true. There was cute little house along the Bushkill I always wanted to stop and take a picture. When I finally said, "Today's the day. I'm going to go photograph that house!" and drove there- it was gone- completely gone! I couldn't believe how quickly and thoroughly they had dismantled it. The same thing happened with an old silo. But at least you got something of it- albeit in worse shape than you wanted. Was it being used? I still like the shot though. The demolished half makes you look twice.

@olivetreeann I dont think it was being used because the sides were bowing in.
