I had to process in raw to get any color and then I made two copies one in focus - one blurred (using the clarity slider) and the put the two together and added a mask to have only the blur be in the water. Cheating. But here is my attempt yesterday.
Think the look you want is for the water to look silky. Try a long exposer with a tripod. The longer the exposer without getting over exposed the silkier the water will be. Then do this other stuff
@wildernesswillie Yeah my biggest problem was I got my shutter speed backwards. Weather permitting going to try again Wednesday. But weather isn't so cooperative.
Nice attempt. My suggestion is look through the waterfall tags, and find something you like, look in the exif info and see how many secs they used and their f stop. Having a filter will definitely help and i hope the weather cooperates with you, it's a cool sight to shoot at!
@sunshinephoto5@wildernesswillie I started a discussion before I went but when I got there I mixed up the shutter speed. I just posted this so the people on the thread could see and my gf who was with me. I will try again. I live in this town so I will have lots of opportunity. But thank you for coming by and commenting.
