I have been on a windjammer which is much smaller and an old cruise ship turned into a ferry. But not one of the behemoths. Nor do I have a desire. But great pictures.

Such a fabulous comparison...
I have been on two River Cruise in Europe with small numbers, the thousands on a cruise ship doesn't appeal at all.

Sadly I’m not sure what it. I just looked at the original photo. It’s called the Southern Swan.

Top for a short trip, bottom for an extended vacation

Those cruise ships are unbelievablely big. Never been on one. Don't know if I ever will. Too many people to close together. Nice comparison shot.

The big liner is not my cup of tea. So to speak. But thousands and thousands seem to have a great time!!!

Personally I just can’t believe how big the cruise ship is!!! I migrated as a child in a ship ten percent this size.
Thanks for the much appreciated comments.

I just saw this on your Flashback. Yes, I do look at what people post. An amazing contrast. It made me think of the 102 Pilgrims that crossed the Atlantic in the Mayflower which was only about 100 feet (30.4 m) long 25 feet wide (7.6 meters wide) whereas modern day cruise ships average 1,000 feet (304.8 m) long, 154 feet (47 m) wide, 240 feet (73 m) high. That means you could put about 13 Mayflowers on the deck of a modern cruise ship.
