Walking into Oz

Some days one needs to find it. I did take several shots today but they were all just cr@p and now reside in the nether world.
This is from 2009, Fairhill Maryland near where I used to live. Faffed to help with my sanity.
great processing and use of colour

Nice edit and a beautiful construction. I think I've heard somtime why they built covered bridges but I don't remember.

This is super! Love the pov. I was just thinking today whether I would allow myself to occasionally go back to some much older photos to see what I could do with them now. Winter might be a good time to do some of that.

For one glorious moment I thought you were in Australia! How odd to cover a bridge.

@graemestevens Thank you, color is mostly white around here now.

@gardenfolk You are so kind, thank you so much for the fav.

@henrir I miss covered bridges, they just don't make sense in Arizona- shame.

@ingajohansson Thank you so much, I honestly never thought to ask why but I found this link ( https://study.com/academy/lesson/why-are-covered-bridges-covered.html ). Who would have thought California has the longest one or even has one. I thought that they were an eastern US thing.

@jernst1779 Going back is important, I believe. So please don't hesitate. The Maryland, Pennsylvania area has a great many covered bridges.

@rjb71 Thank you, I really would like to walk into spring, at least for a little while.

@quietpurplehaze Thank you so much. Doing my art has really helped my sanity. This community has been so so very supportive.

@bkbinthecity Thank you so very much. I miss the colors of back east.

@octogenarian Truly grateful for the fav. This was with my first digital camera, a bridge camera I think it's called.

@golftragic I wish I could find a bridge that let me cross over into spring around here. I never knew why bridges were covered. It seems for protection and ability to build longer and stronger bridges.

@joysabin Sounds plausible Joy. You seem to live in a pretty extreme climate where you are.
