Had a little bit of time in between doctor appointments so I spent some time at near by Buffalo Park. The AZ Trail exists primarily due to the extraordinary effort of Mr. Dale Shewalter, who walked from Nogales (southern border) to Fredonia (Northern border with Utah) and then mapped the trail.
Today's temperature was 90(f) with very dry conditions.
Thank you all so very much. I do love parts of this trail which are often in more isolated spots near town. I know that many people walk its entire length and they 'stash' water along the route. If one sees a jug of water hidden near a tree, walk on by as it 'belongs' to a thru hiker.
Summer isn't my season. I shouldn't kvetch but I get extra cranky when the temperature hits 90(f)+.
