Outside of Prescott Arizona is a Watson Lake. It is man made and lovely. I've stopped before but this day it was about to storm and with lightening snapping and thunder clapping my husband and I decided to make it an abbreviated foray to the lake.
Nice focus and clear image. The thunder and lightening would shorten my visit too. Mother Nature can be quite convincing! Warning: Danger Will Robinson! :)
Just love this shot with the weathered old post and wire in the foreground and that storm bearing down in the background. Hope you got home before it hit.
@yrhenwr Thank you, I saw this post going towards the lake so I knew I had to shot it. The walk back down the trail took significantly less time:):) @jernst1779 I liked the feel of left over - this is a' rail to trails' to trail so the barbed wire might have been when there were train tracks - I think about 25 years or so. @jack4john Its a happy post now-:):) I'm glad that they didn't just remove it when they took the train tracks out. Very grateful for the fav.
@gardenfolk The dark clouds looked like they might stay to the west when we started our hike but then the wind changed. The flash was cool but I don't have the courage for lightening shots unless the storm is miles away.
