The walkway...

One of the gardens that we went to today had this amazing Macrocarpa Pergola that went along the full length of the front of the house .. and at the end was a huge red poppy... Spectacular .. and a bonus that the wood was covered in lovely lichen..

@maggiemae It was untreated timber maggie, so it would just grow naturally .. her Husband was wanting to spray it out with 'wet and forget'.. until he heard that Lichen is a sign of healthy air..

Only for a short while! I'm amazed he used untreated timber - - however go back and photograph it again in a year! Wet and forget is better forgotten!
