I've been saving this for my final Rome photo. But now that I have posted 16 of my 29 photos taken in Rome (not counting the 11 I took of Domenico while we were trying to do the museum photography), I think I have stretched this series long enough. You'd think that this photowalk with @domenicododaro went on for weeks but it was only half a day. He took me to the most photographically interesting places and the weather was beautiful, as you can see. I've worked on photo processing every day since then, and it's brought me back to the 365 community more regularly. I have a couple of random photos I've taken in this past week, so after I upload those, it's time for me to start trying to pick up my camera again. Thank you for visiting Rome with me.
Thank you, Junko, for this lovely series. You have been teaching me seeing Rome in a way my distracted inhabitant's eye had forgotten. This is not a Rome postcard and I'm in awe of your ability to convey freshness to a view that I do personally see every morning of the year and to a monument that's not very much loved by Romans, too!
Wow stunning photo of this monument Junko, I've really enjoyed your photos of Rome!
So nice to hear you will be picking up your camera again and hoping you will find joy in your photography again. :)
Wow Junko this is amazing and an instant Fav. I haven't been on here much lately myself so I am now going to look back through your images. I am glad you will be out and about with your camera too
Well done on your Rome series - I certainly enjoyed revisiting Rome through them. This building is quite a statement in Rome - you took a splendid image of it - but I can understand why the locals aren't so keen.
I've enjoyed your Rome series very much and this is a perfect way to close the book. What an extraordinary wedding-cake of a building, very interesting albeit not very appealing.
Boy Junko - you got us away from the tourists and showed us this at it's best. Your series has been engrossing - thanks so much for sharing your lovely images with us. :)
@jyokota 50,000? Oh wow! We have a lot of books (as the removal man said so very grumpily last time we moved!!) but we don't have quite as many as you! Sounds like you need a trip just for a little break in the middle of all that. You'll find your creative mojo when you're ready. It's still in there but your head and heart are busy elsewhere at the moment. Lots and lots of love and all the best with that book sorting!
So much great detail and an invitation to go to Rome and follow your footsteps. So glad I get to meet you in September. I can hardly wait and good for you for picking up your camera again
@jyokota Guessing you're not in the photographic mood at the moment or still underneath that stack of books! Just sending you my warmest smiles from my corner of England and letting you know you are thought of.
Certainly one of the joys of travel is to see a photo such as this, and to immediately be pulled into it as it was to see this site the first time! I'm so pleased for you that you had such a charming companion as Domenico who showed you the best of his "town"!
So nice to hear you will be picking up your camera again and hoping you will find joy in your photography again. :)
I am spending all my days sorting and preparing our collection of 50,000 books to send to various libraries.
