I truly like the double entendre of this. Please don't consider it over indulging, your images are a unique perspective that give this most ancient and fabulous city a new spin for me.
Great silhouette. And yes, pick up your camera and enjoy yourself. You usually find it a positive thing when you do. But I have enjoyed your Rome photos!
@joysabin@allie912@mcsiegle@rosiekerr@domenicododaro@lyndamcg@caterina@stefanotrezzi@robz@robz@nickspicsnz@stefanotrezzi@casablanca@jodies -- thank you for your generous feedback on this, and on my Rome photos in general. This one required a bit of editing -- I cropped from the original, I increased shadows to put the two men in silhouette, and I did a perspective correction. I was lazy in my editing, though, and I cropped it tightly at the top to get rid of a bird that drew too much distraction. I see now that it might have been better to "remove" that bird and leave in a bit more sky. Oh, well. I think I have to make myself stop with Rome. I have a final photo I've had ready so one more!
Did you remove the bird? I couldn't find it. But I do like the focus on the silhouettes which contrast with one another so well -- animate and inanimate.
@henrir@seattlite@agedrunner@helenhall@golftragic@taffy -- thank you for your comments on this, and on the series. Now that I have announced that I'm finished posting Rome, I'm stuck . . . . trying to figure out what to do next.
@golftragic -- I'm thinking about going back to my Japan photos because that's where I was when I stopped taking photos and I haven't had the desire to even open up those files.
