The tree in the crevice by jyokota

The tree in the crevice

Inspired to upload today by Jane's photo as a reminder of the foggy/snowy morning, I found one of mine that had a different composition, and focused on the tree in the crevice when the fog cleared momentarily. But the wind that cleared the fog also made the tree shake so it was impossible to get the tree in focus. Note that "stick" poking up on the right side near the top? Taffy photographed it and turned it into black and white art. I sure miss being with Taffy and Jane -- such fun we had, freezing and photographing, then having hot tea and processing in the evenings.

Jane's foggy scene (what it looked like for most of the hours we stood there):

In a funny kinda way I think this image captures the essence of the place far better than the broad-view does. Fabulous.
