Although I took this photo on the Grand Canyon photo trip with Taffy and Jane a week ago, I was frustrated with my inability to process it and get it right. I dug myself into the "can't" mode -- until @bpfoto made a preset for it on DxO and sent it to me -- magically transforming my photo into this lovely version. I certainly can't take credit for processing this, but I knew that nothing I was doing was getting to what I wanted it to be.
Thankful for friends Taffy and Jane for our time together.
Thankful for friends (@bpfoto) who help process over the internet!
Jane's version (yes, we were standing side by side) shows one person at the ledge and is profound in showing the enormity of one person in the midst of such grandeur in nature. http://365project.org/jgpittenger/365/2018-10-20
Fantastic photo Junko! Great colours and layers and the two people up on the ledge are great to show the scale. It's funny that you said that @BPfoto made a preset. I use @BP as a watermark! I must change it, because certainly I'm not the one who did the preset. Great that you took that wonderful trip with your friends, I went there before Marco was born, can you imagine? I'd love to go back with him. Take care
That's kind of scary......Jane's has one figure and yours has two. What happened to the other one??!
How nice to find something that helps when you're stuck on an image. You ladies certainly seemed to have a fabulous trip there, despite the weather conditions.
@joysabin -- I don't think so. That link showed a place that had some similar views but we were mostly hopping on and off the bus and walking between bus stops. "Solitude" was not a descriptor for most of the places we were . . . maybe another time!
