Having lived in Arizona for my high school years, I adore the beauty of the Grand Canyon! It's those phenomenal layers of texture and the stories they contain through the years that could capture my interest forever! Beautiful, Junko!
What a wonderful shot with the patterns of those deep shadows against the timeless terrain of that landscape. I do hope you've entered this one in the challenge @taffy is hosting???? Some serious cracks here.
@taffy Easy to covert colour to b&w. And, yes, I'm certainly planning to enter, just been a little crazy round here. Sunday's free so maybe I'll be able to get an entry in there then.
Wow, look at that inky darkness pooling away below the sunset reds! Fabulous. Reminds me a little of Ayers Rock at sunset, though that glows more of a red-orange. Something wonderful about sandstone and the first or last rays of the sun, isn't there?
Stunning. A wall hanger for sure. I love the echoing shadows contrasting against the beautiful color of the canyon and the base provided by the rock bottom right
It has a really lovely abstract quality to it- if you care to view it that way. Or, it is full of detail and reality. I think you got a great two in one.
