I started a new job on Halloween. These planters are on either side of the lobby and they remind me a little of a Japanese garden, with the bamboo and rocks. I've read that Japanese gardeners use rocks to represent water. And that formal gardens are very serene, peaceful places. The building lobby is a pleasant place to start and end the day.
September 2015 - I dropped my Nikon L22 at the arboretum (on asphalt!) and it's definitely broken. :(
October 2014- finally reached 365 photographs and it...
that is very beautiful and a lovely shot. i have read that japanese have tanks for plants only, no fish. now i am reading about - not in japan, but all over - how people are doing not hydro, but a combo of hydro and fish where the fish tank filters through the gardens, back into the tanks and each support the other. really interesting stuff. the kind of fish that you eat.
