Honestly how these young trees cope with the weight of Clinger is often just way beyond me!
Sorry I've been a little absent - a big deadline for a funding application was yesterday - to plant nearly 2500 natives including koala food trees (I can squash just few more hundred in), smaller natives up to 5 metres high for structure and diversity, some bush tucker and sedges for indigenous basket weaving. Won't know for months and it was at least 30 hours of work to write, but fingers crossed!
@koalagardens I just searched for Koala Gardens on the Internet. I got one for Cairns, one for Kuranda and the next one is Trip Advisor. I've enjoyed your pictures so much- do the Koala Gardens have a place to send contributions? That way you could at least get started on obtaining and planting the greens and trees while you are waiting for your grant application to come through. It's just a thought. Thank you so much for your wonderful photos and all you do- you give me a smile every day and I enjoy your project very much!
Hope you are successful with the grant application. Some of these organisations can make the forms very complicated, I think they do it to deter people from applying, so well done for putting the time in. I love this picture of Clinger, so nice that he is low down for you to get a good look at him.
