It’s a start.
There was a quiz on the radio the other day, about collective nouns for various animals, including Koalas.
I knew the real answer but was screaming it’s a “ Cuddle “ at the radio.
I listened to the explanation of what the 'endangered' designation does, and doesn't, do to help protect Koalas and I'm left wondering what is being done with the land that used to be koala habitat ,and is now being taken over? Is it being used to harvest trees or to build houses or what?
@gardencat their original habit has been converted to farms and housing estates. sadly koala habitat is the favoured areas for humans to want to settle as it is prime land - so it's koalas out, people in
@koalagardens So, as long as people are buying the houses etc. the development companies will build them. I wonder if a public campaign to discourage people from buying houses "built on the dead bodies of Koalas" would have any effect at all. It took a lot of years but PETA has certainly pretty much put a big dent in the market for fur clothing. Well, here in Canada at least.
A lovely capture.I heard on our news that koalas are now endangered since the dreadful fires.Lets hope their numbers increase substantially in the future
