whatever happened to a little privacy?

Well really what privacy can a girl expect when she decides to lay her eggs in the middle of my driveway eh? Yes this gorgeous bearded dragon is in the process of laying eggs, and had to put up with me sitting down beside her to take a nifty fifty sooc photo 😊🤭👀
Wow he’s very well camouflaged. Great capture.

how fantastic is nature
September 10th, 2020
He’s well hidden, his texture is similar with the ground, lucky to spot it !

love beardies - my daughter has two gal beardies - previously we had a male for 14 years - they are gorgeous - hope the eggs are safe in the driveway :)
September 10th, 2020
She is gorgeous, laying eggs on the driveway probably isn't a great idea though.
September 10th, 2020
@cocobella definitely a she laying eggs 😊
September 10th, 2020
@onewing @annied I know right - every year at least one beardie lays eggs in the driveway and they hatch! defies what I would have called logic! she chose the very middle of the driveway, not where the wheels run, but 2 trucks came down the driveway today and I thought really I would not choose this spot!
but if you didn't catch her laying you wouldn't ever know as they cover the hole perfectly after filling it in. they are such awesome dragons

You do have THE coolest wild life surrounding you! Amazing you even saw her, she sure blends in!
September 10th, 2020
@aikiuser I was bringing my bin back in and so lucky I spotted her as I didn't see her when walking out the driveway! very glad I didn't wheel over her, instead raced in for the camera. I really love dragons, right from a small child I've loved them. very lucky indeed as they are totally cool!

Cool find and shot
September 10th, 2020
Hope the nest is reinforced and maintains structural integrity!
September 10th, 2020
Such an exotic critter to me! Amazing find and shot!
September 10th, 2020
wow! to have these in your driveway preparing a nest! hope she chose the side and not where the car drives
September 10th, 2020
Oh wow! Great capture of such an amazing creature - she's lovely.
September 10th, 2020
Cool!
September 10th, 2020
Wow, I wonder what makes the driveway such an attractive site for egg laying?
September 10th, 2020
What a great sight that is, she must be there because the stones keep the heat.
September 10th, 2020
Nice find! Cool capture!
September 10th, 2020
Neat find and capture
September 10th, 2020
How embarrassing 😂
Cool find!
September 10th, 2020
Did she dig the hole???
September 10th, 2020
wow, so cool
September 10th, 2020
Brilliant shot! Are those eggs not in danger to be squashed?
September 10th, 2020
Pretty good camouflage, tho'.
September 10th, 2020
Lot's of opportunities for more photos then hopefully
September 10th, 2020
She is looking a tad grumpy. How cool to have her choose your driveway
September 10th, 2020
Brilliant... a top of the heap nf-sooc shot.
September 10th, 2020
@ninaganci she chose the very middle, so hopefully will always be in between the wheels!
September 10th, 2020
@merrelyn @ludwigsdiana yes I'm guessing it's all the gravel as they always lay eggs in stony places to hold the heat in 😊
September 10th, 2020
@30pics4jackiesdiamond sure did, I don't normally have holes as big as my foot in the driveway 🤣 then she covered it back over so well you would never know she had been there!
September 10th, 2020
@jacqbb you would think so hey! but I must say I always have bearded dragons around so it must work enough of the time!
September 10th, 2020
Pat
She blends in beautifully in her surroundings. Great shot.
September 10th, 2020
Awesome capture, I bet the baby dragons are cute when they hatch!
September 10th, 2020
i'd have stepped on it if i wasn't paying attention. i've had enough of dragons and lizards, there's plenty of them in our backyard and everywhere else where i grew up. nice capture for sooc. it's difficult, isn't it? i tried a month of sooc a couple of times. if i wasn't OCD i'd have given up at the third day! good on yah, 19 more days, you can do it!
September 10th, 2020
@summerfield yeah I was so glad I saw her as they are so very important for the ecosystem! gee thanks only 19 more to go YIKES!
September 10th, 2020
@bigmxx they really are! hope I get some shots - I've put a reminder in my phone a few days before they should hatch so I can start watching the spot
September 10th, 2020
Keep us posted on the baby lizards!!
September 10th, 2020
Wonderful to choose your drive for her offspring. Great capture and details.
September 11th, 2020
Nice detail
September 11th, 2020
Brilliant capture!
September 11th, 2020
Awesome capture. Guess you'll have to put up a sigh to make sure no one goes over the eggs. That's what they do for the sea turtles that come up on the beach, here.
September 11th, 2020
@rickster549 ooooh that would be a fun idea - I have weekend project!
September 11th, 2020
How amazing!!
September 11th, 2020
Well spotted - a super shot!
