well I know they are around all the time, but I don't often see them. the day was ending and the light was low. I got some great video as it was totally unaware of me and walked right over my foot while I filmed in surprise. one of our two monotremes - mammals that lay eggs
Love these guys! Apparently, they've only just managed to get a recording of them talking to each other. I'd never actually considered how silent they were....
