Snowberry Clearwing by kvphoto

Snowberry Clearwing

I'm so happy that our pollinator garden attracted this hummingbird moth and it hung out at our Carolina Phlox long enough for me to shoot lots of photos. I jacked up the ISO to 10K and shot at 1/4000 f 6.3 to capture this beauty. I shot this last month on August 11th. Info about this moth: https://roadsendnaturalist.com/tag/snowberry-clearwing/
Beautiful creature and capture! They are so unique - looking part shrimp, part dragonfly, part butterfly.

@marlboromaam thanks Mags... I've been enamored with this moth since I spotted the first one at a Zinnia garden over by the Etowah River... very happy to have one visit our home garden.

@dkellogg thanks Bucktree... I used Topaz for slight sharpening and a substantial amount of noise reduction... I think it helped. I'm just excited to see the wings... something I didn't see while shooting the photos.
