Ruby Throated Hummingbird

"A flash of harmless lightning, A mist of rainbow dyes, The burnished sunbeams brightening From flower to flower he flies."

--John B. Tabb-this is a composite with three different shots of the same bird.
So beautiful! I haven't been able to catch one male and here you've caught three! I see you got the new bee-proof/wasp-proof feeders. But butterflies can still drink from them which is very nice. =)

Great edit. And the accompanying poem adds to the overall effect

@marlboromaam Thanks Mags... actually these are very inexpensive feeders from Walmart... we were shopping and met someone who uses them and highly recommended them. I think they were under $5. The old, expensive ones started leaking and that was not fun over our front deck. I was so happy to see the ruby today and catch some shots of him... he is stunning.

@ankers70 thanks Suzanne... most appreciated.

Wonderful image! Thanks for the tip about the humming bird feeders. The last one I had leaked and attracted ants.
