I read somewhere this is the most photographed street in the USA... not sure if it's true or not but the street is so quaint!! I could have spent hours in this Beacon Hill neighbourhood. The lamps are gas lit and run 24 hours a day. The street is made of large river rocks and maintained by the people who live her we were told by the man who lives in the house with the flag. Please view large against black if you have time.
Gorgeous shot - wonderful pov - love the buildings, the cobblestone "road" - those beautiful brick sidewalks and the marvelous street lamps. Like the way they picked up the black in the shutters to accent the street lamps. You've really shown this beauty so nicely. Fav
No wonder it's a stunning place! House prices will be astanomic I expect but a pleasure to live in such a street. Or perhaps not, you would always have cameras looking through your windows! Fave.
Superb - I wanna be there! We have a similar street in Philadelphia, Elfreth's Alley, and walking through it is incredible. Just lovely, and a great photo of it :)
This takes me back in time! Beautiful shot of this nostalgic street. I have a friend who lives in a historic district in Alexandria, VA and has all sorts of requirements that come with owning and maintaining a piece of history. It's great there's an interest and effort in preserving the past like this.
