Thanks for your comments and fav's on yesterday's boat image. I posted it on Facebook as well and managed to find a friend of a friend who knows the sailor - it's a small world! So I've emailed the photos to him.
Kind of a strange image but my son's silly faces made me smile! My hubby surprised me with a new 35mm F1.8 lens so I set it up tonight while playing Jenga with my son. He could hear the self timer clicking down and would make a funny face each time, despite me telling him to stop. We had lots of laughs!! Haven't played in ages and enjoyed the human contact rather than him alone in his room playing on his electronic device.
This is so much fun! My "boys" were more or less camera shy at that age so I don't have many shots of them. Now I wish I'd forced them to sit for a picture or two!
Such great fun shots ,telling the story of fun and laughter while enjoying one another's company in a game -- so much more fun than being on ones lonesome playing by oneself on an electronic device !
Beautiful collage and set of fun shots. Love the bonding that goes on here. Unfortunately, everybody is too much taken up with the mob to even notice who is around. One reason I keep to my cheap mob which can only take calls and sms's.
I love your story and the fact that you worked out how to have fun with this rather than just getting annoyed (which might have been me!). And in the end, you got a wonderful collage reminding you of the fun you had. love it.
Lovely series of shots. It becomes easy as a parent to let the family fall into habits and before you know it so much time has passed and you all are too busy to notice.
