Antique Opener

Today I booked a trip to Halifax so I spent most of the day researching and planning for this September trip. I wandered around the house looking for something somewhat interesting and found this blue box that used to belong to my Nana. It houses a set of silver knives and fort (which I've never used in the 25+ years I've had them).

Ha ha, I think we have all had a cutlery box like this in our time, ours weren't used either. I left them with my sister when we moved to Australia.

What a beautiful hinged lock. I love the texture of the box cover, it must be leather, it is just beautiful. I've always loved warm brass, it's amazing how many photos we can find around our home. I like this a lot, fav!

Great texture and edit! I have a leather box with six sharp knives that my aunt brought from Spain many years ago. I always use them for steak!

I have a Royal Albert tea set that my Nan gave me back in the 90's that is still wrapped up in its box. It is sentimental and will never be used.
