Back in June we went on a road trip to a magical place at the end of Vancouver Island called San Josef Bay. It's 3.5 hours away from my home and required a 1.5 hr drive on an active logging road followed by a 45 minute hike down to the beach. The journey was more than worth it! My parents came with us... we've all lived on this amazing island our whole lives and none of us had ever been.
@summerfield Yes, 45 minute hike. I updated my comment - thanks for noticing. My 79 year old dad did it easily. The photo doesn't do the place justice. It was gorgeous!
The sand looks fine and a lovely tropical colour -not tropical here but in your current weather pattern it would make this trip very much worth while. Is it north or south?
Wow - not easy to get to - the logging track alone must have been ghastly.But what a magical place -I love the way the only footprints lead directly to the people in your group!!
